Montgomery County Schools is beginning a multi-year renovation project at Montgomery County High School. This page will provide current construction updates, photos, and information that may affect students, families, staff, and visitors.

Phase One Construction Update 9/2/2026

The projects featured below are part of Phase One of the Montgomery County High School renovation. Photos on this page were taken within the past month and reflect construction progress at the time they were captured. Because work is ongoing, conditions and project areas may have changed since the photos were taken.

Welding Shop

Progress is taking shape at the ATC! Crews are pouring the floor slab for the new welding shop—another exciting step forward!

Tennis Court Facility

Work has begun on a new tennis facility at the former McNabb practice field.

Media Center Hallway Structural Improvements

Crews continue painting the media center hallway as structural support work moves forward to reinforce the building’s foundation.

Building 1 Improvements

Major upgrades include new HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems, along with fully renovated restroom facilities.

As this multi-year renovation progresses, construction will move to different areas of the MCHS campus while school operations continue.
